What is a scooter or buggy shelter?

It is a covered store for the things families and pupils arrive on: scooters and bikes for the children, prams and buggies for the youngest. The frame and roof are the same as our cycle shelters, so the choice is really about what goes inside and how secure it needs to be, from an open canopy over a rack to a gated, weldmesh-sided store.

Where scooter and buggy shelters suit

Primary and infant schools use them at the gate so scooters are parked and out of the way before the bell. Nurseries and early years settings use buggy shelters so parents can leave a pram under cover at drop-off. Family hubs and community sites use gated versions where the store needs to be locked between sessions.

How they are built

Frames are powder-coated steel in the Chelsea range, finished to any RAL colour, with a clear or solid roof. They stand on a concrete or sub-fixed base, and can be closed in with lockable weldmesh gates where security matters. Scooter racks and cycle stands are fitted to suit the numbers.
